HT Parekh Foundation


The H T Parekh Foundation, established in 2012 to commemorate the birth centenary of HDFC Limited’s Founder Chairman, Mr. Hasmukh Thakordas Parekh, is an independent domestic philanthropy dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for marginalized and vulnerable communities in India. Initially focused on education, healthcare, the environment, and disability support, the Foundation has since evolved to address contemporary issues, including climate-resilient urban development, children’s libraries and literature, and select high-impact projects with ecosystem-wide influence. Its work aligns closely with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), contributing to a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable future by addressing interconnected global challenges such as poverty, environmental protection, and social well-being.


HTPF has planted 3,000 trees till now in association with CERE for their sustainability program which includes species such as 1) Red silk cotton tree 2) Amaltas 3)Tamhan 4) Karanj 5) Sita Ashok
